  freshmen, fall freshmen, winter freshmen, spring sophomore, fall Here we are writing my year 2 winter quarter post, this quarter literally flew by and honestly not much happened. It's actually crazy how chilled out this quarter was, let's talk about that! Living off-campus Not much to talk about here that I haven't already gone over. I'm like settled in now and everything, like honestly everything is the same im trying to reflect on anything and like the overall update is that there's no update that's kinda the theme of this whole blog post too 💀. I have been going to play basketball a lot more this quarter like 2-3x a week consistently and the runs have been pretty good and ive met a lot of ppl thru it. My confidence is honestly not that good in the full court runs like bro I sometimes miss open layups for no reason but ive also had some highlight plays like some great help defense where i steal the ball or some floaters and jumpers.   So this weekend hosted by UCSC's CruzHacks, my team attended CruzHacks 2025. It was a really fun experience where going into it I didn't know what to expect. This really isn't my niche, as when it comes to coding I'm mainly an expert on the algorithms & data structures aka competitive programming. It involves solving algorithmic problems, writing solutions, optimizing them for the time constraints and test cases, and a lot of practice and studying and preparation. And so it's quite different and quite sweaty, and it was really cool to experience these hackathons which is this different side of programming. ICPC stuff and the performance is also way more measurable than hackathons, where theres a lot more creativity and flexibility involved. Welcome to the 2024 year-end review, celebrating a year of great EDM and music. Here we will be counting down the TOP 10 TRACKS of the year!!!! I have decided to brand it as "WEA = Wizwilzo's EDM Awards" and I'm not sure if it has aura but it is short so that works. Now yes it is March, and I hold myself to high standards on my music reviews, however it kinda got the best of me because I was trying to be a perfectionist for this year-end reviews and I ended up procrastinating so much because I was scared to approach everything. However it's spring break now and I have time so let's do it. What makes a "Top 10" track? What is a good track to me and what is good music to me. It's simple: A great progression. A progression of a song from section to section, from movement to movement, how the drop shapes the character of a song, and how the verses and prechorus compliment and setup what follows.      Recruiting Reflection (cut-out version) My freshmen year summer was one of a kind. I spent time in 4 continents: USA (5 weeks), Spain (3 weeks), Morocco (1 week), China (3 weeks), I even went to Florida in May. My sister also went studying abroad her freshmen year summer and suggested I do the same because I'm going to be working for the rest of my life, and it's hard enough to get an internship with as little experience I have.  So as I wrapped up my freshmen year summer and I was heading into mid-September and October, the pressure started looming above me.
