A thing I noticed from songs

This only applies to songs with lyrics, and none of the songs I listen to have lyrics, so Imma have to use pop songs. uHG

Okay

Singers want to make the lyrics sound good and flow together. For example, often times people say something like 'chu' instead of 'you' so the 'you' can't be heard, because 'y' is a consonant that is hard to AUGH IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN.

Another for example:

I hit you
would turn into
I hit chu
say that out loud.

Notice that after you pronounce the 't' in hit, you kinda stumble.
So this is what singers do

I hichu

They combine it

OKAY TIME FOR THE REAL THING I NOTICED.

So, ya know that pop song called shake it off?

shake it off
sha ki toff

What?

Lemme explain

If a word begins with a vowel, and the word before it ends with a consonant, then you kinda slur it.

For example,

I hit emerson

Would turn into

I hi temerson.

cuz it flows and sounds better!

Me and my sister invented this phrase:

Shake it off in air and apple and elephant

Sha ki to fi nair ran dapp lan delephant

lol

The longest slur I found in a pop song was

I forgot how to turn it up up up up all night long

From Heartbeat Song – Kelly Clarkson

I forgot how to tur ni tu pu pu pu pall night long

lol

Sorry if that was confusing

Lyric(s) of the Post:I forgot how to tur ni tu pu pu pu pall night long
Heartbeat Song – Kelly Clarkson

    1. And the grammar of most modern songs makes me cringe horribly...
There is literally a song called "Who I Are" by Bebe Rexha or however you spell it
      Facepalm

And the thing that annoys me the most is I know that the grammar mistakes are most likely on purpose...............................................
