Albums/EPs
4/1 = Skrillex - F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3
- It's been 2 years since Skrillex surprised the EDM world with a spontaenous DOUBLE DROP album that features so many classics and ended up winning grammys. Well, 2 years later we have a surprise drop April Fools abomination of a mixtape in what people just shorten as FUS. It's amazing to see Skrillex take on this immersive mixtape stype record with 34 tracks that only add up to 46 minutes. Theres multiple sub-1 minute tracks in here and right off the bat this album is just so incredible and immersive. It really feels like a mixtape and the transitions are just so smooth. I know there's a better way to describe this but it really feels like a haunted house where youre just going from room to room and seeing different showcases. Or like watching a performance with different acts coming in and out. There's cohesion within the mess and it just feels so immersive, almost as if sometimes you wouldn't identify the breaks between tracks.
- Now on a low-level, this album is all over the place when it comes to genres. Theres so many experimental sounds and snares and drops and leads like it really does take me back to old school music. Then there's of course old-school Brostep that Skrillex brings back like in "VOLTAGE", "SAN DIEGO VIP", or more rapidfire "SPITFIRE". Then there's of course just scattered wubstep and garage and thematic vocal tracks. Almost all of these tracks have a nonstandard progression and structure by design of this mixtape cohesion, so this record really is its own thing. I really did like 2023's double drop with some standard vocal progressions that were just pure earworms but somehow this approach also works, which really speaks volumes to Skrillex's versatility. This is better than some live DJ sets. I've listened to many albums like these including phonk mixes and garage mixes and d&b mixes, but ut of all these mixtape album constructions, this is truly just 2 tiers above the rest.
- Now let's talk about some standouts BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS DREAMING WHEN I SEE VIRTUAL RIOT MENTIONED NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT 3 TIMES IN THIS ALBUM LIKE WTF LIKE THAT INSTANTLY JUST 5X MY EXCITEMENT FOR THSI ALBUM. "WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING VIP" almost acts like a transition track but I love the sound design it's just too short. Then let's talk about "MIRCHI TEST" because holy cow that hook is so crispy like I just need this track to be 2x as long and replay that hook again please. The drop hits hard too but man that hook is so captivating. Then that finale track where the narrator just names every artist involved in the productoin like lmao it goes on for 1+ minutes it really does feel like a credits scene. Idk why hes listed in the credits in this track but Virtual Riot got announced VERY FIRST which we take.
- Otherwise, my favorite tracks that i've added to my rotation include the longer mixes with a more thorough progression, like "MOMENTUM", "ANDY", "VOLTAGE", "G2G" & "DNBTING" (listening to thsoe 2 songs b2b is INSANE), "SAN DIEGO VIP". Then there's those shorter snippets but like theres so many worth shouting out you'll just see them in the bottom section, ordered as always.
Rating = 8.5/10
Favorite Tracks = "VOLTAGE", "ANDY", "ULTRA INTRO", "MOMENTUM", "SPITFIRE", "DNB TING", "G2G", "SAN DIEGO VIP", "WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING VIP", "THINGS I PROMISED", "MIRCHI TEST", "REDLINE DASH", "DRUIDS", "RECOVERY"
4/4 = beastboi. - THE BLOOD OF THE STARS
- A highly characteristic cut from beastboi., known for some really deep screeches, dirty sound design, and just overall a more experimental atmosphere. When there's a great unifying melody/vocal and theme it creates some really unique tracks and listening experiences, but the vast majority of the tracks from this album are misses. Just too much screeches and incoherentness going on track to track, and honestly quite repetitive
Rating = 4/10
Favorite Tracks = "CONTROL PUT IT DOWN"
4/4 = Subtronics - Fibonacci Pt 1: Oblivion EP
- Subtronics is back and kicks his classic wubby deep bass house back and this is just some standard stuff that Subtronics been putting out lately. He's not progressing or experimenting with other genres and this album and his past albums kinda are disappointing he seems like hes selling out. He does have an insane micro drop in "Brain Squeeze" i have to give credit to that bro that microdrop was INSANE. Anyway, he developed this really unique hit sound and is just spamming it, i will say he does hit hard in collabs tho, thats it for now.
Rating = 3/10
Favorite Tracks = "Final Breathe", "Lock In"
4/11 = GhostDragon - fragments of us
- Following up, GhostDragon has released his fragments of us LP with a neat collection of future/melodic bass. I will be subtracting a few points because this guy got a single that was released in Feb 2024 and also May 2024 like really?? he pulled the Dabin special (foreshadowing) but anyway honestly this album exceeded my expectations. I group GhostDragon in with Elephante, Hoang, and maybe even dreamr. or midnight kids but anyway like youre supposed to expect GhostDragon to put up some mid, generic drops with commercial vocalists but some of these executions and guitar solos actually impressed me, though it wasn't anything stellar. I appreciated the opening track "say you're mine" quite a lot along with the guitar solo on "the ugly truth". Many of these tracks were already released as singles and this album acts more as wrapping up this era of GhostDragon and his sound design.
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "before we say goodbye", "say you're mine", "forever (want this feeling)", "the ugly truth"
4/18 = Dabin - Aura Park
- Dabin returns with Aura Park and it's clear through many of these tracks that his rock influence persists, and there's just a more present and less empty energy in these vocals and verses compared to the rest of mainstream melodic bass. I really like the pacing in the verses as I'm pleasantly surprised by many of these new tracks from the album. Like what I'm trying to say with the sound design is that Dabin takes the future bass out of the likes of elephante, sabai, ghostdragon, hoang, and replaces that with this very strong, concrete pillar in rock and its almost like that's what some of these songwriting pieces were missing. Now I will say some of these drops are still lackluster but there are some really great cuts in this album that really surprised me as I normally don't expect anything spectactular from a Dabin album.
- Of the new tracks, "Night Bloom" is a clear standout, it's honestly such a versatile track with a brilliant rock execution on the drop I love the mixing between the guitars and vocals it's so satisfying and this is just some really stellar work here. Immediately into a post drop with a dubstep breakdown and the verses are so crisp like I was mentioning early, I love the verses in this album so much honestly they migh tjust take the show which is rare to see.
Rating = 7.5/10
Favorite Tracks = "Worlds Away", "Night Bloom", "Deepest Water", "Constellation", ""I See You", "Nothing At All", "Photograph"
4/18 = Koven - Moments In Everglow
- Moments In Everglow features some classic Koven d&b and sound design, with the vocal leads and those classic linear d&b drops. Right off the bat all of these songs have a bit of a dystopian, nervous, running away atmosphere to them and all kinda sound the same especially they have the same sort of vocal leads. There's definitely a lot of room for exploration in this album that it fails to achieve. That being there are some tracks that shine among the rest, like that crispy, gritty bass in "In The Echo" and the atmosphere that the almost-whispering-like vocals set create a really unique track. The second stand out is "Nervous System" which hard carries this album. It's an absolutely versatile track that grew on me so insanely. Upon the first couple of listens it didnt even make my rotation, but once I revisited it and added it, the song literally grew on me the more I spam it, and its probably one of the top songs of 2024 looking back now. The vocal hook and theme is so addicting and I love the registers it hits, and the first drop is so great the progression and everythign absolutely dissolving on that post drop its such a great progression this is what makes a track so versatile. And then the 2nd drop with Steve Aoki fits in so well but for me it's that 1st drop that always takes me away, its beautiful how it progresses to the post drop. The low notes are also so underrated and man I just will never get over that progression. Without this lead single this album would be so forgettable.
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "Nervous System", "In The Echo"
- A really unexpected, comprehensive album from Asher Postman here, as he does absolutely expands on what I believe he does best, and that is those electro-house vocal chop progressions in one of his biggest tracks "Found You". Right off the bat tracks 3 and 4 have these addicting vocal chop breakdowns that sound like some Complexity blended with NOTD and it's just so addicting. If you love whimsical melodies and you love vocal chops like me. these drops will really have u in a chokehold. And then "The Garden" which might be my top track from the album is honestly SENSATIONAL it's a production masterpiece and structurally with that whole B-section of those gliding melodic arpeggio runs are just so addicting BRO i cant get enough of it, the whole progression of those runs are so incredible. The linearity of the melody is so addicting this is pure ear candy in melody form. It also just feels so nostalgic too, this is in contention for top 10 of the year. I just love these vocal chop drops that appear all over the first half of the album, as noticably, "Unoriginal" sonically splits the album in half, marking the start of more drawn out, songwriting-focused tracks.
- Overall it feels to me that Asher Postman is doing absolutely everything right in this album and leaning into every element of his core sound so well, and embracing those vocal chop drops so well like this is exactly what I want from him. I'm really surprised with just the production of some of those drops in the first half of the album like it's some really beautiful electro house.
Rating = 7.5/10
Favorite Tracks = "The Garden", "Back 2 U", "It's Ok", "Jaded"
5/7 = Lost Wolves - Fading Into You EP
- We hvae a pretty serviceable melodic dubstep cut, kinda brings me back to the old days with the nostalgia. There's also some trance elements here but overall I wish the verses arent as standard as they are because at its core these drops are great its just that the verses are kinda filler and the progressions dont take too many risks and are just so standard. I do like the dubstep hits and transitions in "Grey Space" it has potential to shape the rest of the song.
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "Grey Space", "Cloud Nine", "Only Ones"
5/15 = CloudNone - REBIRTH EP
- A solid EP full of elaborate instrumentals and drawn out progressions. There's no emerging melodies that really struck out for me, so that's why I leave it as that. I did like the drum pattern in "1999" with the syncopated snare
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "1999"
5/16 = Au5, Psyuri - Earthwave EP
- We have here what Au5 calls "An Alchemical Journey" with vocalist Psyuri in the form of Earthwave EP. It's a great cut of exploration from Au5 as he clearly preserves this storytelling aspect just in this more "chemical" and "earthy, magma" tone to it. Au5 also chills out with the grand synth breaks and synth pad rushes, leaning more into some orchestration and piano elements which I really love to hear incorporated.
- Cuts include "Heat" with a really neat progression in that gritty synth and wubstep combo that all comes together towards the end. "Of My Soul" is also a really soothing listen and I love the vocals and spacing between the sections. There are some more mid tracks here but overall I'm a big fan of this direction from Au5. It won't beat that insane Bridges Between album from 2023 however, it's not on that level of swings and storytelling.
Rating = 7/10
Favorite Tracks = "Of My Soul", "Heat", "Paradigm"
5/23 = Oliverse - Illusions EP
- Really nice kinda dystopia feeling D&B EP from Oliverse, of which I really appreciate "Avalanche" and those screeching synths that add so much character to the d&b. Other than that, honeslty the other tracks feels like I've already heard them somewhere before aka they're standard cuts. I really liked "Avlahance" tho its a great vocal performance too
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "Avalanche"
5/30 = RAIZHELL - ARCADE HELL
- Here's one of thsoe classic phonk mixtapes and I'm excited to see how RAIZHELL's goes. Spoiler alert its pretty much like every other phonk mixtape. Most of these tracks are fairly low effort and hook-dependent and just formulaic phonk.
- Some standouts do include "VENOM IN YOUR EYES" as that hook is so addicting and i love the execution on that 2nd postdrop. "HYPER PHONK" with the reverb spam and drift phonk feel is also unique and so is the construction on "KAWAII PHONK". "RAISE HELL" drop hits hard and i love the octave jump so much. The finale track "PULL THE TRIGGER - Dubstep Remix" has this epic halftime finish that then goes further with a quartertime finish which was just so epic i loved that execution. There are some other cuts mixed in there but for the most part a lot of these tracks wont be revisited.
Favorite Tracks = "VENOM IN YOUR EYES", "MOVE LIKE DAT", "RAISE HELL"
5/30 = Tokyo Machine - FACTORY RESET
- Here we have Tokyo Machine releasing an EP on Monstercat and its some of his classic and quintessential dirty/8-bit sound design and constructions but to me, hes been doing this for so many years. Like at one point all of these songs sound the same just gritty breakdowns with the same drumkit and same transitions. "SCREW UR FACE UP" is just a filler track to my ears, as having followed Tokyo Machine's discography for this many years its jsut nothing new.
- There are some hints of exploration, liek those almost colorbass-like hits in "LOCK N LOAD" or the techno section in "MVP". That's what Tokyo Machine needs to do more of. Infuse some new elements in his drops and explore. There's such a great characteristic core to his sound design and it feels like hes wasting it with these copy paste drops like i know how all of these drops generally sound like it gets to a point where it's just noisy bass house.
Rating = 6/10
Favorite Tracks = "LOCK N LOAD", "WATCH OUT!"
6/13 = Teddy Killerz - COOKED
- I love listening to d&b recordso and we have one here from Russian/Ukrainian trio Teddy Killerz. This one has this like really 'freeing' type of tone to it, it just feels super loose and the instrumentation has these like acoustic shakers and theres just scattered, spontaneous samplings that lead the drop. Like the most common one are these like vibrating car screch sounding stabs and overall it really does make this album quite cohesive. There's even a bit of Skrillex type experimenting that I feel. This album is objectively hard-hitting, bright, and fast-paced. With all that said tho there's not many melodies and meaningful progressions. Also the tempo just gets so fast and listening to 14 of these tracks back to back kinda wear on u.
- Standouts include lead single "We Love Drum & Bass" with some killer vocals and drop. Peaceful d&b "Inhale", and also "Feed Your Soul"
Rating = 6.5/10
Favorite Tracks = "We Love Drum & Bass", "Inhale", "Feed Your Soul"
6/20 = CHYL - Pretty Race Girl EP
- Love to see CHYL pack this "pretty race girl" era into a centralized EP as this is quite a defining time of her career. She essentially adds 2 tracks to 4 previous singles of this era as she continues to explore and pioneer the speed house genre.
- Some of these tracks are rather standard and formulaic in terms of structure which was a bit disappointing to me. I was not a big fan of "Fast Lane" and the 2nd techno drop and that entire track in general just didnt offer much. However, I did like the 2nd new track "I Get So Lost" quite a lot like hwo doesn't like Phonk + Speed House fusion like just hearing phonk in this type of atmosphere is so fire. Loved that track a lot, standouts also include "Make Believe" with a really solid melodic progression, I love the mini-breakdowns on the drop and just how those melodic motifs are reused in variance throughout the track, I've noticed that CHYL has some really creative executions of melodic themes, evident of last year's Sport's Mode EP
Rating = 7/10
Favorite Tracks = "I Get So Lost", "Make Believe"
6/20 = Codeko - Glow EP
- This is as mid as an EP gets like its not bad but its not good. A lot of generic deep house and dance house drops and the progressions aren't anything innovative. "Sleeping" is slightly above average I thought the drop was ok and the 2nd verse had a rly nice dip in production.
Rating = 5/10
Favorite Tracks = "Sleeping"
6/26 = Steve Aoki - HiROQUEST 3: Paragon
- So we have a massive 38 track album from Steve Aoki which I debated including in this post but I'll listen to it I guess. It features many singles cumulated across the past year and after listening to it, theres a streak in there with quite a lot of latin tracks. However it doesn't execute it like Marshmello does and instead its just bland generic production. Speaking of bland generic production thats what we expected from this album and it did deliver. HiROQUEST 2 actualy had some solid tracks that made it to my rotation but this one dipped, with only notably "Heavenly Hell (ft. Ne-Yo)" making my rotation. Listening to all 38 of these tracks felt like such a waste of time not just for me but for Steve Aoki like this album really is a whole bunch of nothing. I started skipping some tracks cuz its just not pleasant to listen to.
Rating = 4/10
Favorite Tracks = "Heavenly Hell (ft. Ne-Yo)",
6/27 - Armin van Buuren - Breathe
- So this album Breathe aka Breathe Out consists of 39 tracks. It's a successor to previous album Breathe In that contained 12 tracks.
- Now there's so many songs in this album bro like 39 track album where idk how many of these are singles of if some of these are dj set but lets get into it. Wow I am 2 songs in and this is actually so great this reminds me of some Tritonal vibes with these grand drops. "Let It Be For Love" is honestly quite captivating. Okay moving on "Part Of Me" is elite too the production has tehse rly unique almost mallets feel. 2 tracks later in "In And Out Of Love" is Armin van Buuren's home territory with some really elaborate trance progressions. So much intention between these sections and the drumwork is heavily underrated, definitely deserves a 2nd listen one day. Skipping to track#12, "Larger Than Life" is a really upbeat tune that adds some great flavor, I like this one. 2 tracks later at "Racing Spirit" is some really insane work with the drops, really in your face but I like this directness. More than halfway deep, "Let Me Show You" has a pretty unique b-section thats worth calling out. Then it's followed by a lot of those typical Armin van Buuren tracks and trance progressions, what im used to hearing from him.
- Yeah so overall the first half of the album had some really unexpected variation and exploration that I really enjoyed. The 2nd half had just quintessential Armin van Buuren trance design which was solid work but not rly my kinda thing, there were some really interesting runs and progressions but overall yeah it's just your classic Buuren work. Solid album that rly did exceed my expectations.
Rating = 7/10
Favorite Tracks = "Larger Than Life", "Let It Be For Love", "Part Of Me"
6/27 = Fox Stevenson - Sunk Cost Fallacy
- Fox Stevenson has come out with a full-length Album in Sunk Cost Fallacy filled with his best work. Known for his distinguished rock + d&b sound design with really acoustic instrumentation, but then drops filled with nasty synth lines and leads, Stevenson fully leans into it for this era.
- A lot of these songs take time to really hit, and even after my 2nd listen-thru I can still say there's many cuts in here that will take a few more plays to really hit my rotation. For now tho, "Tryhard" has such a progressive structure on the drop I love it, and then when it blends into that synth-break B-section it's just SO GOOD and adds so much variation to the drop. This track instantly hit like that drop is so great. And then next I want to talk about "Memories" because HOLY COW that synth lead is so addictive bro it makes me litlerally hungry literally obsessed to replay that synth hook. It's so catchy and it's just such a great design it's such a captivating theme. His signature synth design is just so unique and man it's just so distinguished. You hear it on full display in "Movin' On" where it almost osunds like a talkbox and then in the background there are these high-pitched samples that really add so much to the melodic flow.
- The finale track also reminds me of so many other finale tracks in other albums in terms of structure, such as "All That Ends" in Trivecta's Find My Way, "STARS" in Jaron's LIGHTSYEARS, and even the new Taylor Swift album's finale track. All of these tracks are unique in the sense that they are really drawn out, very space-y, rolling-credits vibe, and then big buildup and big climax towards the end of the song, reflecting the themes and sounds of all the songs you just listened to, and it really does wrap up the album beautifully. I believe this album will be really core to Fox Stevenson's legacy and the commercial success and numbers are already showing for it.
Rating = 8/10
Favorite Tracks = "Memories", "Tryhard", "Sunk Cost Fallacy"
6/27 = Paper Skies - Canvas EP
- Paper Skies has fully entered his colourbass era and I've never been more excited. This EP utilizes pretty much 100% colourbass drops, with some melodicbass centric ones like in "Dive Deep" or some Virtual Riot Simulation takes in "BOUNCE!". Overall this 'Canvas' that Paper Skies has in front of him is painted fully with some great swings and colourbass cohesion. I love the imagery in the title track as if the whole Canvas is getting kickstarted. There's some really gritty drops inserted along with some vocal progressions. It's a great step in maturity from Paper Skies as a producer. My favorite track may be lead single "By My Side" with 2 different vocalists in 2 different verses that I really like along with some really gritty colourstabs in the drops. This is a perfect candidate for a lead single, and I really like the execution. Outside from that I really love "BOUNCE!" and that midsection, it's totally Virtual Riot influenced and I love that. The whole track itself is a whirlwind. It's really cool to see Paper Skies progression as an artist with this characteristic sound design hes picked up in this EP with that gritty colourbass dubstep, and how he just fully embraces it.
Rating = 7/10
Favorite Tracks = "By My Side", "BOUNCE!", "Dive Deep"
- So thru my only listen-thru of this album i noticed the production/atmosphere is kinda similar to Melodrama. There's also this like underlying vocal harmony that prob represents something and occurs here and there. The tracks that caught my attention are "If She Could See Me Now" with some nice swings and choruses. Other than that there's a high concentration of vocals + somber instrumentation. Seems to focus a lot on songwriting and storytelling which dont tend to pay attention to. Honestly disappointed from this album like there should at least be 1 track that I enjoy but eh.
Rating = 5/10
Favorite Tracks = "If She Could See Me Now"
Conclusion
April:
- From April we just have a galore of tracks from F U Skrillex and then Said The Sky's "Reminisce" and it standsouts to me due to the prechoruses as they really embody the theme of the track. The 2nd verse transition is also really solid and the drops are above average so it creates a really nice storyline and progression. I also love those high notes on the 2nd drop from the vocals. This song really could've used a bridge tho its missing some potential from that. Then, we have Skybreak's "CAN'T LET GO" which from a progression standout is a pure masterpiece. This is the best single from his upcoming era by far, and the lead is so captivating along with those colourbass fills and just ear candy everywhere. I really love that 2nd verse too it bridges everything together so well and the vocals are on point.
May:
- We have ONE ENTRY for May which is absolutely insane. This may be the only time this happens ever for a single month. Imagine going 30 days with only 1 spectacular track. Anyway, nothing even happened in this month like this is probably the worst month this year.
June:
- June picked right back on pace. Tons of hits including Skybreak's absolute breakout UK garage track IMO. Like WHAT EVEN IS THIS SONG I was mindblown. I remember I was at the airport when I heard this song for the first time. And then the more I replayed it the more I notice later on. Like this is Virtual Riot type drop-section and sound design. And then the way the track just ends on a bang which is so reminiscent of Simulation 2021 era Virtual Riot like dude I love this so much. I never thought he could blend these Virtual Riot drop elements in his tracks and I just love it so much bro Skybreak is literally top 5 artist right now he just continues to dominate
- Lowkey this song should be in great category but anyway we have the duo consisting of PIKASONIC and someone else I forgot with this fire sweet song. I just can never get tired of that verse and the drops are solid too with the vocal chop leads and theres a full-circle moment in the 2nd drop that really does envelope the track really well so maybe it does belong in fire category but anyway
- Now we have jeonghyeon's remake of Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" which is lead-single off Midnights, and he actually made this track a couple of years ago and I literally downloaded it and put it in my offline folder on Spotify. It's great to see it finally released on Spotify but for copyright reasons they use a different vocalist and not Taylor's vocals, which kinda downgrades the track. Anyway let's talk about this track, bro ITS TAYLOR SWIFT VOCAL CHOPS. 2 of my favorite musical things in the world combined together. I need more taylor swift vocal chops in my life I need her to release an EDM album and for there to be some insane vocal chops in there. Reputation kinda did it but not to this thematic full-force dance way.
- Then we have Vylet Pony's "My Love is a Quickscope" which is in contention for song of the year because everything about this song is so wonderfully constructed. Just that celebratory intro is A PURE GEM and then the verses and the vocal deliveries add so much character to the track. Everything in this track is so melodic, the length is perfect, it's not really abrasive, it's an easy-listen, and it's just so pure and great. This is some foreshadowing to what you'll see in July from Vylet Pony beacuse the album that he/she will release is absolutely insane.
- Then we have that phonk/speed-house fusion of a track from CHYL that we talk about up above.
- So then we have to shout out "Ambulance" which is a cut off a Jesse Barrera album that idrc about but this track featuring EJEAN is SOOO REPLAYABLE like it's so incredible. I love the guitars and that wee-oh-wee-oh theme that honestly carries the song. It makes the track so addicting and I remember when this song came out I would listen to it at least like 3x a day. EJEAN's verse is also so fire especially when it goes up to that prechorus and she takes it slower like just the pacing is so on point. Such a versatile track like its such a soothing "Ambulance" siren sample taht they use and i love how they integrated it among the melody.
- Next we have "Tryhard" and "Memories" which I feel so happy to include because man those tracks are so unique and add so much variation. "Memories" is so fking fire like that hook is so addicting, you can see more in my full album review up above
- Finally, RetroVision and MADZI team up for the hard-hitting "LET ME SEE U" which is just a pure head banger of bass spam and pulsing synths. Mix in some melodic fills and we have a recipe that I can't resist not putting in the FIRE category.

I've implemented a new visual where I just insert all the new entries and then all the songs that get pushed out of the top10 get striked thru. This kinda looks cool. You can see here that although Q2 was pretty mid it was somehow better than Q1. I will say tho be ready for Q3 because Q3 is INSANE. Anyway let's talk about our new leader in "My Love is a Quickscope" which just has so much aura at that top spot and deservedly so like I'm not gonna spend any more sentences glazing it cuz I will do an album review and glaze it for Q3 lmao so anyway let's moev on to "Ambulance" and "STONE KOLD" which slots themselves in the top 5 deservedly so. And this top 10 is looking a lot more legit. Like those 5 songs that we kicked out made me feel kinda satisfied like those songs were nowhere near the standard of a top 10 category.
Top 5 albums as of end of March (Q2):
- 1/17 = Knock2 - nolimit
- 4/1 = Skrillex - F U SKRILLEX
- 4/18 = Dabin - Aura Park
- 6/27 = Fox Stevenson - Sunk Cost Fallacy
- 3/14 = NOTD - Digital Notes EP
1/5 = Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS3/7 = niko rain - Fatebound EP2/28 = Rusko - 1 MAN ARMY EP
The albums list is also starting to shape up a little. We got some 2 really big commercial releases in Skrillex and Dabin this quarter. Definitely also can throw Fox Stevenson in that conversation as well.
QUARTER 2 IS NOW IN THE BOOKS!! This quarter was honeslty mid yet again, Skrillex basically carried. You can think of Q1 and Q2 as the calm before the storm because man does this year start to pick itself up in Q3 and Q4. I know this cuz I'm writing this in November LOL im so late man these posts take so much time. All in all tho this Q2 wasnt horrible theres def some memories in there and some tracks that will stick in the top 10 till the rest of the year. That "Ambulance" track really did have me in a chokehold like I was replaying that every day during work over the summer.
