Spotify Wrapped 2025
Hello everyone, Spotify Wrapped 2025 has come out and so has a lot of other clones like Duolingo wrapped and Youtube wrapped. So here I will be reviewing my wrapped for this year along with some quick screenshots of the duolingo and youtube.
Pleasantly, my wrapped is now in Spanish cuz in October i changed my phone to Spanish. Here its saying my listening age is 20 cuz i listen to a lot of new music. This definitely checks out due to all the reviewing I do staying up to date with the EDM industry and all the albums and new music that come out each week.
65k minutes is kinda low amt for me. Here's the history:
2021 = 89k
2022 = 60k
2023 = 73k
2024 = 80k
2025 = 65k
lowkey didnt expect it to be this low as i cant rly attribute it to any reason
Here are my top genres which dont rly mean much cuz idk how spotify categorizes genres but this is pretty accurate. EDM and electropop at the front and then we have latin music which definitely has its dent in my listening history. And then we have a new genre for me in the Country entry cuz I started listening to Country lately like it really does have an uplifting progression and vocals. The last genre that I really listen to is just pop so it wouldve rounded it out if it hit the #5 spot but anyway
here we have our top 5 songs of the year which i am very happy with. I honestly expected a vylet pony song or "Ambulance" by jesse barrera to make it but all of these songs were released in 2024 or before LOL. It really shows that through my listening habits of building my rotation of tracks that consistency and longevity always prevails. Because I had some phases where I was spamming some songs.
Anyway tho "Factory" was my 2024 song of the year and im so glad its getting even more recognition. It's literally impossible to skip this song like get so excited every time this song comes up and I think this will still be in my top 5 for next year and who knows maybe even #1.
And we have the big reveal for artists of the year with VYLET PONY TOPPING IT OFF which I expected. I'm also very satisfied with this ranking like I'm really happy for all these artists. Im curious who was #6 as I'm thinking its niko rain but maybe not. Anyway man Vylet Pony absolutely took all the spotlight for me this year because that album is literally incredible i still have to write a blog review abt it so ill leave more details for that. I remember discovering it during my internship and like I would just loop the songs so much like nonstop like holy cow how do you make an 8 minute song sound not dull.
Taylor Swift at that #2 spot is also unsurprising like I have a whole playlist of her and every time I'm with my mom I listen to her and some of the remnants of my huge craze from last year are still here. Like I consider Taylor Swift a genre at this point in terms of my music listening habits because I'll oscillate between primirairly EDM but then to Latin, Country, and literally Taylor Swift. So like that's why it's so easy for her to be on these rankings and if I didn't spam Vylet Pony like crazy, Taylor wouldve been my back to back #1.
Now let's talk about Knock2 because this is so deserved like I'm pretty sure hes on everyones top 5 artists if not top 1. That album impressed me so much like truly and has just an insane 3 singles and the commercial success is crazy. Then VR actually had a sleeper year like despite releasing Stealing Fire last year he had some really great singles in "Damage" that I streamed a lot along with some collabs with Eliminate and Ray Volpe and the remix album. Then jeonghyeon dropped a ton of future house bangers too, notably "Only Yours" among others.
Now I just continue to be so happy with the rankings because like this is so beautiful like if I were to have a desired rankings I would put it in this exact order. Maybe swap #1 and #2 but either way we have Knock2 and Vylet Pony and then Skrillex this year and thats honestly the big 3 albums from this year like they honestly are the backbone and identity of this year. And then I just love having Good Faith and Nurture back to back like that BECAUSE YES like it makes me so happy. I spammed these 2 so much during my internship. I remember like 11 PM just listening to these albums front and back and singing along to them as I was working on my code and honestly entering flow state with so many emotions and it jsut helped me push thru so much. These albums mean so much to me and theyre 10/10s and Im so glad theyre in this ranking despite being released so long ago. I did go to a Madeon concert so that prob boosted it a bit too.
And then finally all summed up. Wish they had a way to put the albums in here lol but this sums up my 2025 really well and I was so happy with the rankings. It's honestly still really shocking to me how none of my top songs were released this year, and in my top songs playlist its actually "WHAT THE HELL" by Johnning at #6, "Mother" and "Musician" by Porter at 7 and 8, "feel U luv Me" by Knock2 at 9, "Sit like a Flamingo" by Half an Orange at 10, and then 4 more songs later at the #15 slot is "CATCHA VIBE" by Flight which is the first song released this year appearing. Like that's honestly crazy how none of the Vylet Pony tracks made it to my like top 50 but this proves to me longevity and consistency hold an insane amount of weight.
Bonus
Heres my duolingo wrapped which is my first full year of duolingo so the stats are CRAZY. 111k XP and what I'm most proud about is that 5920 minutes. Since it's only 11 months thats literally ~17.7 min every day on average. That's crazy consistency. I anticipate next year being even longer maybe, but honestly maybe not because over the summer my Duolingo grind was insane I was averaging 40 min a day with 2 sessions each day in my commutes to and from work. I would open both of the early bird and night chests and i farmed so much XP and minutes and I won the diamond tournament during that time. I had a week where I earned 10k XP in a week. So yeah honestly i might not be able to top this year. Who knows tho. I will say my duolingo profile is honestly so cracked like im lowkey not humble abt it cuz i sometimes stare at my profile and my stats and just be like wow this is beautiful my language splits and stuff anyway. Like 31 straight weeks in the diamond league and counting is crazy like u have to put 15+ min a day to do that. Most players just open up their app and do one 3 min lesson and close it for their streak but like im more legit abt it.
Here's my Youtube wrapped like WOW that is a lot of flight videos thats literally 1 vid a day like CONSISTENTLY which honestly makes sense. Like even tho I went to china for 3 weeks somehow I still have that many vids watched like I do be watching like 3-4 vids in a day sometimes but wow im proud of that hhhhh IN THE EARLY 2000S PLAYERS LIKE JERMAINE ONEAL WOULD HAVE HIM CRYING OUT THE LEAGUE
