NBA Action | 2/27

Yesterday 22 of the 30 NBA teams came out to bring us some entertaining basketball, and was definitely a great day to be a NBA fan.

All the games were:

Rockets Hornets
Nets Wizards
Timberwolves Hawks
Warriors Heat
Bulls Grizzlies
Blazers Celtics
Pacers Mavericks
Pistons Spurs
Clippers Jazz
Bucks Kings
Lakers Pelicans

ROCKETS HORNETS

Poor officiating.

Harden had a 30 point game and choked on a lot of stepback threes while the Hornets were playing team ball and finding the open man.

Walker got called on a lot of questionable fouls, leading to a three point deficit in the last possession. The Hornets coach ran a great play, running offball screens to get Walker open at the three point line. After a pumpfake, Walker missed the three pointer and ended up losing the game bcause of that.

NETS WIZARDS

The game was tight till the half, until Jeff Green and Trevor Ariza started stepping up, and didnt the Nets finish a possible fourth quarter comeback. Beal came away with 30 points.

TIMBERWOLVES HAWKS

A hyped matchup as last time these two teams faced, it led to OT. HMm

Towns started off scoring 11 points in 10 minutes with 6 rebounds, leading to an early Timberwolves double digit lead. Derrick ROse was shining in the mid-range, stepping back and draining long two after long two. However, Trae Young and John Collins kept on, putting on a comeback. Derrick rose was trusted with the last shot, but was blocked. WIth 0.5 seconds left, they gave the ball to Trae Young on the two point wing. He made a rookie mistake on a pumpfake with 0.5 seconds left, and made the shot after but it of course didn´t count.

In OT Trae Young dominated, making great decisions, leading to a Hawks win, basically ruining the Timberwolves chances of making the playoffs.

WARRIORS HEAT

This game was INSANE.

I only watched the last couple of minutes, but I did check the score during halftime, and they had a large 20 pointlead. Then the Warriors became the Warriors and came back in the third.

During the fourth, it was mainly exchanges. In a tie game, KD looked to seal it with a four point play. The rest were exchanges and the Warriors were leading by four with 22 seconds left. Heat ball

They gave a nice look to Wade, who drained a three. That definitely gave hope as now after a foul they were within a one possession tie. Dwayne Wade still clutch.

Although Curry only had one man on him, they passed it to an 89%FT shooter Kevin Durant.

He choked the first one, and made the second.

This gave the Heat a chance to tie with only a two point shot.

Then the rest was insane. Wade picked up the ball and was trusted to take the last shot. A handoff then a pass back to Wade. With time ticking down, Dwayne Wade pumpfaked Kevin Durant out. Trying to draw a foul, he shot it in air, but the referees didn't call it. Bell ended up blocking the shot, but couldn't catch it. With the ball in air, 37 year old Dwayne wade shot an offbalance one-legged fadeaway shot down by two.

It made, and vintage Dwayne Wade struck. Miraculous three pointer in Wade's last game against the Warriors.

Insane, and hands on going to win buzzer beater of the year. Definitely, even over Hield.

BULLS GRIZZLIES

A close game overall, but a late Mike Conley blunder and slip led to the loss.

At the end of the 1st quarter, the game was tied, and so was the second. At the end of the fourth, the Grizzlies were leading by 1, and in the end they were leading by two.

CELTICS BLAZERS

A loss for the Celtics in a horrible game that led to their fourth straight loss. Irving's 31 points were not enough, and another loss for the Celtics haunts them.

PACERS MAVERICKS

After the loss of Oladipo, the Pacers have been slowly slipping away from the top seeds of the Eastern conference, as they took a loss.

Luka did his Luka Magic, coming in clutch, making stepback three after dimes. He was incredibly consistend throughout the game.

PISTONS SPURS

A game where Dwayne Casey meets DeMar Derozan again. The Spurs and Lamarcus Aldridge blew up in the third quarter both defensively and offensively.

BUCKS KINGS

Up by 16 with 7 minutes left, the Bucks choked and played great defense during the final possession to go to OT.

The Bucks exploded in the first half of OT, making two crucial threes, but ended up laying back, letting Bogdonavic go floater and make a three. During clutch time, the Kings choked and it led to the Bucks winning in a non-deserving fashion.

LAKERS PELICANS

A close game all the way until LeBron closed it out with a tough three point shot to give them a six point lead with only around 30 seconds remaining.

Anyway, two days ago had tons of close games, and it was fun for me to go hopping around watching clutch time after clutch time.
