Spotify Wrapped 2022

Image
YOooooo It's been like 15 days since the 2022 Spotify Wrapped came out, I was busy with schoolwork and stuff. I'm trying to get all A's this semseter and I'm SOOOO CLOSE to the finish line. Don't worry, this blog has been on my mind, its just that I've always been prioritizing other things over it. It finally took me some strength to just take some time peacefully right now, as it's 11:46 PM. Here's some posts I need to make:  - Semester 1 senior year summary/recap or something  - WORLD CUP RECAP !!!  - maybe some type of cubing rewind of my progress this year?  - stessie "home" album review  That's all i can think of off the top of my head. ANyway, here's my spotify wrapped. For reference, this was 2021: So yeah, dropped from 89k to 60k, due to a multitude of reasons. COVID and online learning helped boost 2021 into 89k. Additionally, I traveled a lot this year in 2022 and didn't get many minutes during thsoe trips. SO yeah, what

Marching Band is over.

Image
I returned from WBA Grand Champs 2 days ago, and I've had a bit of time to reflect. This post will be all about senior year in the front ensemble. It kind of makes sense to have this post wrap over everything about marching band, but that will take a lot of time to formulate. If you want, you can visit the  band label  for all posts related to band. What a season. I only did marching band in 9th, 10th, and 12th grade, and 10th grade was the online year, so I pretty much only have 2 legit marching band seasons. Anyway, first of all, everyone in the pit section is just so iconic to me, and I'll remember it so vividly forever.   - Rathul, center marimba, chillest guy, funny to troll .   - Bog, og.  - Matthew, someone I truly feel content dapping up every time he turns around. I remember during friends and family, when he turned around with such a genuine smile and dapped us up after act 1. That was such a sincerely genuine moment. It feels so surreal thinking about it, it was su

5 days at the hospital

Image
Thursday. October 6th. I had an appointment with Dr. Policy a spine specialist/surgeon. This was at 8:45 AM, and I was expecting to be back at school before 4th period so I could attend 4th period and ACCESS. But I ended up never returning home that day, staying at a hospital overnight. So, what happened? When I met Policy, he basically said that we need to do things faster. Schedule the back brace fitting faster, and see the infection doctor faster. We discussed discitis, which is what I have. He said that ultimately, two of my spine bones will morph together in the long run and that's going to be what happens. And I do that with the brace. So he moves the brace fitting from next week to literally today which is great. So we do all that stuff, and the guy taking my measurements explains the brace complexities and stuff. So after that, it's time to head back to Pleasanton and to school. Within 3 minutes of our drive, Dr. Policy calls my mom and says that we should go to the

This past week

So my posting frequency has declined pretty substantially. This comes from just back-pain + schoolwork + college stuff. But this week especially was pretty demanding, let's go over it. MONDAY School from 7:15 - 2:20 Got home at 2:40 and did some AP hug homework until 4:30 Left for marching band practice which was 5-8 PM got home at 9 PM because it's always like that for marching band took 90 minutes prepping for an AP hug presentation the next day where my groupmates came to my house TUESDAY School from 7:15 - 2:20 Basically spent the entire day doing college apps as I've fallen behind of my schedule Didn't have any events/appointments to keep track of WEDNESDAY Went to 1st period (multi) from 8:50 - 10:20 Left to go to see my back specialist and review the MRI. Concluded that I need to get a blood test to make sure it's not an infection Arrived to take my blood test at 11:34, but they were on a lunch break from 11:30-12:30 Ate lunch at PF Changs nearby Came back

Heat wave in california

Image
There's a heat wave in California. There were a lot of others earlier this year in Europe and Middle East and stuff. But we get one too :D Today was the day when I just felt the impact the most, which is what inspired me to write this. I woke up today and I just felt dizzy. It was just so hot and waking up in such a hot environment is so unpleasing it's crazy. It wasn't anything serious but I just felt horrible. Additionally, when I drive to school I have to get my AC up to almost max and stuff which drains the battery of an ELECTRIC CAR WHICH USES A TON OF ENERGY TO CHARGE WHICH IS BAD BECAUSE ENERGY COSTS A LOT. This will all end very soon, like 3-4 days it will go back to normal. But this is like the first heat wave I experienced, where its just 100+ consistently, and 100+ at 7 PM. So yeah, kind of cool. Timelapse ESAP COMPLETED

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBwB6-uY-xA There it is! The most annoying part of making it was collecting all the footage and speeding it up, as wevideo cant speed something up by 256x directly, so I had to input and reinpnut the output on 4x speed generators for various clips. Either way, I think the vid turned out well, and it shows the work I put in very well. I'm likely going to straight up forget about all this 3d modeling stuff, as it's not something I'll do for fun :( That's why this vid is so essential.  Lyric(s) of the Post:  Got me runnin' 'round town I surrender all of me Oh my god, I'll give you anything you want Maybe I forgot why you left in the first place Way too many friends getting close on your birthday So can we talk for a minute, talk for a minute? So can we talk for a minute, talk for a minute? talk - KOTONOHOUSE Remix (keshi, KOTONOHOUSE)

Senior Year of highschool first 2 days of school !

It's been two days of senior year, so let's write about it! Let's first go over my classes and my impressions A (Wind Ensemble, Grantham) Very cool to see a lot of sophomores and a lot more people in general. I thought I did well on my audition and I somehow went from projected 2nd chair to 4th chair, but honestly, I don't care.  1 (MultiVariable Calculus, Reyes) I talked to Enoch a lot about multi last year and it's pretty much what I expected. Reyes is a very unintentionally funny talker with a unique voice/lisp. She cares too much about math discover people who died 5000 years ago or something, with all due respect. This class should be light, it's kinda like AP Stat format/vibe but I need to take it a bit serious. 2 (AP Human Geo, Zuanich) During my first two classes here, all the nostalgia came back of Zuanich. She's such a unique teacher that everyone can connect to. I had her for 9th grade and she's exactly the same. This class seems rly fun bc

Back Pain continued.

Hi! Here's what happened since my back supposedly  healed . my back heals during europe and it feels so fire i go home, get covid, and then a week later i recover and leave for philly around 1.5 weeks into the camp, i go to the gym for 4 days in a row on the 4th day, I go super hard on the stairs machine I wake up the next day in philly and i feel PTSD, except it's real. I miss an ice skating event, but in general, its really not that bad. I can still walk and stuff, it's jsut that the pain is still there I get home and attend marching band After a week of marching band and band camp, there is a Saturday where ALL H*LL BREAKS LOOSE AND MY BACK JUST FEELS LIKE ITS CRUMPLING. ITS TWISTING, AND TENSING. I HAVE TO LEAVE PRACTICE EARLY SO I DRIVE BACK, PLEAD FOR BEN GAY. MY PARENTS PUT IT ON ME AND IT FEELS BETTER, BUT NOW MY BACK FEELS SUPER WEAK, AND IT'S IN SO MUCH PAIN. IT FEELS CHRONIC. 6 days later, here I am, after a doctors visit concluding in physical therapy + me

It's so hard. I'm at the most sensitive time, as it just happened this morning. But I don't know why, I'll do it right now. It's so hard to do this, and I'm crying as I write every word.  We got Prince Marshmellow on December of 2012, when I was in second grade. He was so cute as a baby. For the first two years we kept him in a fairly-sized cage, with a litter box, stuff to bite on, toys, etc. We would play with him by taking him outside into the backyard where he would just hop around. I was very little back then. After we moved to a new house in sometime 2014 or 2015, he became a garden rabbit. He would play and eat in our backyard, and then we'd open the door to the garage at night for him to sleep at. He would always sleep near a wall besides the red car in the garage. Our backyard is so big, and he's just so happy there. From 2015 and on, it was just like that. Him being happy. There was a time in between where some flies layed eggs on his neck, a

ESAP Diary (week 3)

Image
Last week ! Day 16 (7/25/22) Today was monday, back to normalcy. I woke up at like 8:15, ate breakfast at a dunkin' doughnuts along the way to lab, then worked on attaching our head to our body. I'm working on a big timelapse of all the work, where I'm aiming for 256x speed, which is straight crazy. Right now I converted all the clips to 64x speed, but I'm not sure if 256x speed will even show anything cool or will it just be flashes of random moments with no progression. Here'a s fun fact: I didn't take a single photo today :D So, enjoy your first ever day that's photoless. This will likely be very stale. The day was fairly stale, as I spent half of it in the lab. ANYWAY, after the morning session, I went to the cafeteria to eat lunch where I ate fruits and eggs, then back to lab to play skribbl with some of the people in our class before class starts. It was really fun because I'm good at it, also, it's such a flawless and harmless party game. Exc
