My story

  Last.fm came out with a last.year on like January 1st... So why did I take a month to post it? I don't know. BUt what matters is that IM GETTING IT DONE. I can't quite remember everything, but if I were to characterize my 2022 music, I would say:  - nurture by porter robinson  - raise the black flag by teminite  - home by stessie  - simulation by virtual riot  - COLOUR BASS everywhere Other than that, there's glacier, infowler, aiboahn, tritonal, monster cat compilations, seven lions, midnight kids, halvorsen, mazare, jack shore, puppet, skybreak, laszlo, ghost dragon and more with those phases.  ANyway, let's provide some commentary to that screenshot.   2018 version It's been 3 years! Glad to see I still love EDM. Let's see how my taste evolved... I just want to say I wish I could include everyone here: Glacier, Grant, Ellis, Axol, Elephante, Tritonal, Daft Punk, Culture Code, Retrovision, Elektronomia, Porter Robinson, San Holo, Hyper Potions, Zedd, Halvorsen, Diamond Eyes, MDK Those artists right there basically encompass my entire EDM taste. The complexity within straight growls and transformations in the drops, finalized by beautiful, powerful, fulfilling chords. I kinda ditched this blog during November 2020 and came back to it for like a week in April 2021. During that period I missed the annual last.year review. This is the overview. You can conclude that NIVIRO absolutely dominated, most notably  Fast Lane  and  Dancin' . Those two tracks are STILL in my playlist 10 months later, I'll never get tired. Fast Lane is such an emotional track, especially the synth break. The two note contrasts just blend so well with the iconic NIVIRO synth pads. Dancin' is an upbeat track that features the catchy "I'm only thinking about..... dancing." That phrase is so catchy and it's such a banger track in general. I won't go in-depth. That gun reloading sound is such a good way to peak off the beat drop and paired along with the stutter to line things up the synth break immediately hits. Hi, If you're a spotify listener you probably have looked at your spotify wrapped, which is a website that shows your top songs and highlights that you listened to this year, since spotify tracks what you're listening to. The final ranking was a bit surprising, too surprising. Was congratulations by PewDiePie really first? There were a lot of slight errors. Spotify wrapped most likely rigs it and puts some #10 artist on your top 5 just to make you surprised, so you will share it. But how rigged is it? I have last.fm which tracks every song you listen to. You can just connect it to your spotify and I started tracking form October. One of the confusing things about last.fm is that instead of a "play" like "you've listened to a song 10 times" they say "you've scrobbled  a song 10 times." They have their own unique word called a "scrobble" xD. So whenever you see the word "scrobble" you can just translate it to ...
