First pen tapping performance reflection + studio version

Image
Yesterday, there was a collage concert at my school, where a segment of the concert is dedicated to small groups or solo acts of ensembles or etudes or whatever. We had flute trios, piano accompainment of trombone solos, voice solos, jazz gigs, saxaphone/clarinet ensembles, basson/oboe/piano group, ...and pentapping.  This was my setup, I was going last so I had to watch a lot of performances before I went. Anyway, let's talk about what happened. Here's what I performed:  "hi-hat riddim" studio version . I was performing in a super big, open church, and the pentapping just wasn't as projected as it would be in a classroom or regular-sized room, which is perfect for pentapping. Either way, the mic helped, and it didn't really deteriorate my performance that much.  However, what happened during the performance is that I nailed the beginning and everything, but at the end I was vibing so hard that I forgot to cut to the clap ending. I incorporated that new endin

Marching Band Senior Year RETURN + happy ending || Update

Image
5/23, 5/16, 5/9 (mondays, this week, last week, and last last week).  Those were the workshops I went to for Marching Band. The season runs from August to November, but there are spring workshops to prepare for the next season and make placements. Next year's Marching Band show will be  The Crown . We're getting a new set of uniforms next season (it happens once every like 20 years?) along with a budget of 1 million dollars(idk if thats cap or not but thats what the band director said, it could just be in a super big context of not just marching band but also for a new york concert band trip in the spring next year). Marching band practices are now four times a week, and we have biweekly summer practices added on too. I'm getting the impression that next year's marching band season is a season that theyre gonna SWEAT on, in terms of ranking and stuff.  Towards the end of this post back in february,  I expressed my uncertainty of what section to join. What happened sin

Why android is better than iPhone, windows better than macbook, galaxy pods better than airpods, etc.

This shoudl NOT be a hot take.  ANDROID:  Google Assistant which can match any song that you play, including HUMMING. You can literally hum a tune to it and it will pop up with a match fairly consistently. Can siri do that? Oh. 400 dollar Google Pixel 3a has better camera quality and is fully capable of doing everything that an iPhone pro can do, which is around 5x the price. Yikes. Headphone jacks. People these days refer to an aux cord as usb-c or their own custom little iPhone chargers. Shows their lack of comprehension of modern society. Google Chrome. The default android uses a realistic browser! What perks does Safarari ever have? Better alarms. Our alarms are exponentially more comforting.  WINDOWS: Widely accepted in gaming culture. " If you want to argue about culture, let's talk about apple integration in culture!!!"  No. XBox game bar. This is such a sensational screen recorder that minimizes lag, easy to use, clip, and upload, along with so many other featur

AP Testing Junior year of Highschool + life update

SO I just took my last AP Tests. I'm free. Regardless of how it went, I did it. Last week, Thursday, 5/5, AP Statistics. 12:00 PM I didn't study much for this beside going over chapters 11 and 12 since thsoe were so exotic. I did a mock test two days before and realized the perseverance it takes to do 6 FRQs. Anyway, I didn't go overboard with the studying and on test day I felt confident. MC = 40 questions, 90 minutes.  - I took MY TIME doing these questions and they were just standard stat questions. I did end up guessing on like 2 questions tho I remember. I finished with like 10 minutes to spare, but others finished with literally 40 minutes to spare. There was a dude who finished it in 40 minutes, took a 30 minute nap, and then did 20 minute review like a CHAD. Absolutely no words for that guy. FRQ = 5 standard + 1 investigative, 90 minutes.  problems are already released  - I didn't take MY TIME as from the MOCK test I knew I couldn't go slow and check every

First real gym workout in 2 years.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to Fitness 19 for the first time since like 2020. I was kind of scared because back when I used to go, there wouldn't be people of my age. Now, lots of people I know go to 19 which is going to be so awkward.  Anyway, when I first walked in, everything was the same. There were some changes in the layout in some parts but the general sections all are the same. Same colors and floors and everything.  SO first thing I did was walk straight to the weights section because I didn't want to look stupid finding a machine. I ended up doing like 4 supersets of bicep before moving on to leg extension and leg press. THe main perks of a gym are the MACHINES. OMG they are 100x more effective than home exercises. Man it felt good to feel my legs burn effortlessly. Those machines are so chill too cuz ure just sitting down. After that, I did lat pulldown, another perk of gyms, and that made me realize that my shoulder needs a LOT of work. Then I went to the calf mach
