Around 3 weeks ago I watched the eras tour film in theaters with my mom. The last 3 weeks have been very transformative. The last 3 weeks I've been in my Taylor Swift obsession. And this leads me to here: Taylor Swift Artist Review (TSAR) No artist has ever had more than 1 post in the Artist Review. I never even thought about it. But Taylor Swift is such a global phenom with such a wide discography, history, and storylines, and I seriously have to split it up into different posts.   2018 version It's been 3 years! Glad to see I still love EDM. Let's see how my taste evolved... I just want to say I wish I could include everyone here: Glacier, Grant, Ellis, Axol, Elephante, Tritonal, Daft Punk, Culture Code, Retrovision, Elektronomia, Porter Robinson, San Holo, Hyper Potions, Zedd, Halvorsen, Diamond Eyes, MDK Those artists right there basically encompass my entire EDM taste. Outside of EDM is a whole different subject. FULL OF TALENT. NCS has progressed a lot into glitch hop and progressive house ever since and Virtual Riot introduced me to the world of melodic dubstep. The complexity within straight growls and transformations in the drops, finalized by beautiful, powerful, fulfilling chords. Okay anyway, it's been 11 months since we've done one, so let's go in with a new artist that will probably stick: San Holo San Holo has high quality tracks that are melodic. They aren't featured in NCS Light – San Holo You can tell his popularity through the 134,757,205 plays. The begin comes with vocals setting the tone and mood of the song followed by a hollow synth stutter loop. Then the melody is focused on the vocalist, and the transitions through loop and the build up has amazing quality. The fades are perfect, and now the familiar beginning tune rocks back. The beat drop begins with "I just wanna see the light" repeated. It's a light yet noticeable beat drop. Artist Review #9(TheFatRat)      Before Emerson introduced TheFatRat, I only knew him as an OC one hit wonder of Never Be alone. Now.... Monody (feat. A slight echo is produced if you listen close enough. The synth voice is very fitting for the setting that the beginning is painting for us. The ending synth voice in the loop is kind of grunted.     I'll start this post off by saying that I'm not a huge fan of Elek. I just don't like the style too much. There are a couple of songs that I like a lot, but I don't listen to Elek that much. Anyway, the three songs that I will be viewing is : Sky High – Elektronomia Energy – Elektronomia Vision – Elektronomia In case you didn't know, I really like  Sparks – Elektronomia . I love the fades in the beginning. 1. First thing I hear is a sharp synth on a look with a background synth pad. I like the transition from look to loop. The high to low thing. The melody kicks in with a weird backup melody that is obvious during the gaps. They add in a nice snare with a transition and then a beat drop comes in. There's a moment of silence and then the melody comes in once again. Nothing too special. I like the gaps they use. Then comes in my favorite part of this song. They use the same notes as the melody, but change the synth into a voice-like synth. Ver...

Artist Review #6(Retrovision) This was my first NCS artist that I listened to. Specifically, puzzle. I have forgotten about Retrovision after finding out about these other artists. But Retrovision will always stay in my heart. Anyway, the three songs that I will be reviewing are Puzzle – Retrovision Over Again – Retrovision, Micah Martin SICC – Retrovision, Domastic Let's get to it... First of all, is puzzle, the first NCS song I listened to. Anyway, let's see the intro. I love it. The weird drum thing in the beginning. They gave no fades a good feeling. Overall a very fast tempo song. It jumps into the synth-break very quick. Now the weird voices are great and even better when combined with the synth in the background. The synth pauses when the voice pauses, which I don't really find that great. It could continue. Along with the piano, the intro is a little short. Artist Review #5(axol)     This is an artist which I found from iXPLODE. My second favorite YouTuber. I use his clan tag in pretty much every .io game I can find. When discovering axol, I immediately played ILY nonstop.     We're not going to talk about ILY, since its not his top three popular songs. D: But we are going to talk about  Bleed – Axol, The Tech Thieves ,  Mars – Axol , and  You – Axol, Alex Skrindo (PS I found Axol with the song "remember")     Ok, I can understand why bleed would be Axol's best song. The beginning so far creates a dramatic atmosphere for the listener. I like how Axol went simple. The piano. If you just listen to the beginning, you won't think it's an EDM song. And then the weird voices of "oh-no-oh-no-oh-no-oh". And then the vocals kick in. They add a bass. A snare. A good entrance. The perfect amount of reaver. I LOVE the way Axol creates the entrance. Artist Review #4 (kast away)     This is an amazing artist that has only two songs. At least on Spotify. I can tell each of his songs take lots of effort. Both of Kast away's songs have great vocals, instrumentals, beats, and bass.     Here comes my favorite of the two. Glow. I love the beginning. The "HEY!" and the "oh whee" parts. I love the snare, very unique. I also like the piano in the background. I like the little synth noises. Then comes the verse. I love the effect that Kast away creates. He inserts all types of noises in silent gaps. And then there comes the prechorus. The lyrics "cuz happiness is no accident" is awesome! I love the way Kast away uses his accents. the "WATCHin you cry". I like the background sounds a lot too as I said. And then comes those two words that leads to the chorus. Artist Review#3 (Different Heaven)     Here comes different heaven! I like a lot of his songs that aren't that popular for some reason. Let's just jump right into it since I don't know what else to say as an intro.     Different Heaven's hit song is obviously My heart  Which consists of EH!DE singing the intro. Anyway, I like the reference "I spent the last two weeks just spinning" to a fidget spinner. lol. The beginning chords are nice. Gets loud, fades out, the melody turns into lyrics. And then here comes the prechorus. Sick beat drop. Well developed. The song goes right into the chorus changing the speed, tempo, and synth. I like the cool digital synth and in between synths they make the pauses not empty by filling in the cool synth. After the chorus is kinda confusing. They stay on the synth and they go lower. Then the make a melody out of that synth. And transitions into the verse again. No lyrics. The analog synth is very well written and played....

    Artist Review #2 (Tobu)     So you guys have probably heard of Tobu. He has many hits on NCS. His greatest is Candyland     Lets listen to Candyland. I have already heard this a dozen times before lol. I love the beginning synth. The pace and Rhythm. The synth(idk which type).And then it leads to three notes repeated over again which turns into the backround followed by a snare. And then they hit the Analog synth. Which is pretty cool. I thought it was the chorus, but it began to get louder and louder which turned into a beat drop. And then they change it to a different analog synth. With the same melody. This is another song liked by the melody. After the chorus is a weird synth. Repeated the line three times. Not sure why, but I'll go with it. It then turns into the same chorus. Artist Review #1(Jim Yosef0     So lets talk about his best song. *firefly.     Listening to it, I feel like the intro is a well produced. Chords on a piano followed by what sounds like an organ synth. It's fast pace, and then it turns a little slower. I feel like they should cut the into a little shorter though, but not a big mistake.      I love the chorus. The melody is great, but the verse is the same thing as the chorus, but without a synth snare. I like how the beat drop leads to a much powerful version of the verse, but mostly I just think what makes this song good is the melody. I could make a little better, by adding a higher note after the first two lines. Lemme explain. So you know how the chorus repeats one line twice. I think they should make the first note on the second repeated line higher to make it sound more exciting.
