Beldum community day

Today was Beldum community day.

If you don't know what a community day is, it's a specific day once a month, as an event in Pokemon GO to reward the community for playing. It lasts three hours. During these three hours, a certain pokemon will be spawning more frequently, with an added shiny form also. There will also be bonuses, as sometimes they will give you 3x XP, 1/4 egg distance, 3 hr lures, or many more.


Anyway, so for the month of October, we had Beldum.


Beldum is normally a SUPER rare Pokemon. To put things on a measure, Today was my Dex entry for Beldum.

Second, Beldum looks super cool trash in the shiny form.

However, SHINY METAGROSS LOOKS SICK.
(if you don't know what a shiny pokemon is, it's literally just a pokemon but in a different color. However, they are SUPER rare(1 in a thousand(except for when it is communitday(then it is 1 in a hundred))))




Look at that beast. It's like golden.(the first one is the shiny version)


So my goal for this event was to get three shiny beldums.


One for metagross, another one for metang, and another one for beldum.

And my second goal was to get at least 250 beldum candy, so I can get myself two metagross, because my shiny beldum may not be good.






So, this event started 11 o'clock, and ends at 2 o'clock.

I have a class at 2 o'clock

So I could only play 11-1



I decided to go out at 10:30, since there was a raid that was going to start at 10:37(yellow egg)

Oh I forgot to mention that I was going to orloff park for community day, with Naveen, Timothy, Aceswimmer, and doggosrlitfam


Anyway, lemme show u my routes to orloff park

Now, I live somewhere in a neighborhood called Ironwood.


Anyway, there are three routes.
Bill:

JOHN:

BOBBY:






From shortest route to longest route, it goes
JOHN, BILL, BOBBY

So basically Bill is straightfoward. You literally just go through the Iron Horse Trail, and you're basically at Orloff. A couple of turns will lead you there.

1. Sketchy. It's Iron Horse Trail. I only go on it if I'm with someone. NEVER go on Iron Horse Trail alone. 
2. There are a lot of clusters(of pokemon), about the same amount as Bobby
3. You pass through a Pokestop and a Gym.
4. Iron Horse Trail goes through no traffic lights, and is mainly a straight path, so you can bike-sprint pretty easily

John is another straightfoward one. After reaching the starting point of Iron Horse, you instead keep going straight, then you ride along valley and you'll get there

1. Not sketchy. However, one time I saw a homeless dude walk there.
2. NO CLUSTERS. You will see not a single Pokemon when going this way
3. You pass through nothing
4. Goes through two pretty safe traffic lights. Nothing dangerous as crossing a busy street with four intersections. 
5. The fastest route to get to Orloff. If you bike-sprint(I once did that so I didn't miss a Kirlia raid) you will get there in about 7 minutes. Fast!
6. You will bike along a road, just something to note

Bobby is my favorite, since you go through Evan and Timmy's houses. I often times stop by to say hello. One time, Timmy joined me lol. It's great since it's going through multiple neighborhoods, which are never dangerous. However, it's slow. Great if you want to bike alone

1. Not sketchy. Fun neighborhoods to go through
2. No clusters, along the way you'll litearlly just see Pokemon every minute. Basically, Bill is just like every five minutes you'll see a big cluster of Pokemon, compared Bobby, which every minute you'll see a couple of Pokemon.
3. You pass through the same Pokestop and Gym as Bill
4. No traffic lights! However, you are going through a neighborhood, so you gotta be kinda careful
5. Slowest route
6. Basically the same thing as Bill, except for you're going through a neighborhood instead of going through Iron Horse.

Now I have no idea why I included that part lol

Anyway, I decided to take Bill, since I was going with a group of people, and I liked clusters, because when going through a neighborhood, with singular Pokemon, you're going to have to constantly look at your phone...in a neighborhood, somewhere where a lot of cars back out. 

When I got there, since I was kinda slow lol, it was already 11 o'clock. 

We decided to take a circle around orloff park, before doing the raid. 

LITERALLY THE SECOND BELDUM I CHECKED....

WAS SHINY.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I screamed, golden-razz, ultra, then threw my phone on the grass. I was the first one in the group to get a shiny. LEZZGOO

It seems like throwing my phone in the grass was a pretty bad mistake, since it was pretty wet. I had to wipe my phone with my shirt sleeve. It was 421 CP btw.

Also, there, was a noctowl. That was kinda cool. It was only 300 CP.

After taking a circle around Orloff. i started to realize that eevees were spwaning everywhere...

This was a Beldum community day. Why would eevees be spawning everywhere?

I didn't question it at first, because I got pretty excited, Pinap-berrying every single one. I ended up with 100 Eevee candy. I'm probably gonna save it when Gen 4 evolutions come out, so I have a chance of getting leafeon or glaceon.

There was also a butterfree at orloff, so that was kidna cool. Useless though

But Aceswimmer FRIGIN GOT A SHINY MURKROW. thats 1 in athousand. 

HOW THOUGH. HOW THOUGH. HOW THOUGH. I DON'T BELIEVE IT 

Anyway, we were about to do the pilowsine raid, but then we saw a porygon raid at the trail. We decided to do that, since we would pass by a couple of clusters here and there.

What we passed by was....

A DONPHAN.

What a rare spawn! I don't even have 20 phanpy candy yet.

What was even more rare, was that it was 2500 CP, compared to everyone else, who got around 1000. That makes top 5 of my Cps. 

I ultra golden-razzed and caught it. It had the same moveset as my 1900 steelix, so basically my steelix is trash now. I wasted a metal coat that I could've used on a scyther.

We got there, and defeat the porygon. Mine was 800 CP, so after looking at horrible IVs, I transferred it.

Then we went back, and me and naveen said bye to the others as the others went to downtown.

im so frigin salty that my parents won't let me go to downtown ARGH. community day literally drains your pokeballs, so the lured-up pokestops everywhere helps make up for that. Plus, orloff park gets boring after a while, as at one point you have caught everything, and you're getting so desperate to the point where a pidgey will make you excited.

We spent the rest of the day going back and forth between the Trail and Orloff Park. We also took down the Iron Horse Trail gym.

Then we called it a day, and went home through Bobby, since we wanted to check out Evan and Timmy.

No one answered Evan's doorbell, and Timmy was at a soccer game, so we didn't ring his doorbell.

(btw rip timmy bcuz he got softbanned, missing Beldum community day. THATS WHY YOU DON'T HACK POKEMON GO TIMMY.)

Going back, I literally had two ultraballs left, saved up for any shiny beldums I saw. I already reached my goal of 250 candy.

I shiny checked every single Beldum I saw, and still, there was not another shiny Beldum. We caught a charmeleon though. 

Then, we went to the Iron Horse Trail stop in our neighborhood, and went back to Naveen's porch, where we traded Magikarps and Beldums at an attempt for alucky one.

So yeah. We were looking for three shiny beldums. We only got one. That's fine though, better than none.

At home, we evolved our highest CP beldum(680) and our shiny Beldum(421) over to metagross. 

The non-shiny Beldum became...

3000 CP.

OH MY GAUWD. I NEVER THOUGHT THAT THE TIME A POKEMON TOPPED 3000 CP WAS GONNA BE NOW. HOLY COW.

Our shiny got to 1800, which was pretty good, considering how SICK shiny metagross looks like.
