Routine

Hello,

Looking back on my first week of online school, I totally eased my scenario.

That first week of online school was right after a week of "break", where there was no school. The first day of online school I didn't do anything all morning. I just went on Google Classroom and examined the assignments. I would spend all my time watching YouTube, scrolling through twitter, or just being really lazy. I was very unproductive.

I started to improve through the week, but not much. I put very minimal effort into my assignments, and even skipped things that I knew the teacher wasn't going to check. I would feel horrible every day going to bed, and tell myself that tomorrow I was going to be so fudging productive. I planned out the day, and didn't succeed.

I have adjusted.

I have a serious, reasonable, manageable, and rational routine.

7 AM-8:30 AM=I wake up, and spend 90 minutes doing precalculus work. I am going straight from H. Alg II to AP Calculus BC, which is insane. I would like to keep my reasons private. Anyway, I usually get through 1 or 2 lessons during this time.
8:30 AM-9 AM=I lie down. I'm tired from the intense studying I just did. Now you might be wondering: Why don't you just wake up at 7:30 AM so you get an extra 30 minutes of rest this way and there's no transitions? I wake up at 7 AM mainly because the house is at a very chilling mood, and I seem to be the most efficient in the mornings. Normally the rest of my family members wake up at 8:30 AM, and the sounds of microwaves, toasters, footsteps, and so many others can really ruin my flow.
9 AM-9:30 AM=Breakfast. I used to eat oreos during breakfast but I felt really unhealthy so I eat cereal. You can consider cereal to not be healthy but it's an improvement for me.
9:30 AM-12:30 PM=Red Dragonfly. My dad and I go to Red Dragonfly(my mom's school) every weekday morning, where I get most of my schoolwork done. My priorities during this stretch is to finish Bio, Spanish, Health, and if time is remaining I spend it on English.
1 PM-2 PM=Lunch+settling in. Usually after lunch I like to go on my phone and do whatever stuff I want.

AFTERNOON

This period really differs depending on what day it is. 5x out of the 7 days of the week I will workout. My dad has a good source of equipment, so I do a variety of chest, arm, cardio, leg and ab exercises. Since all the gyms closed, I don't have access to the leg press machine. I instead do 30 pound dumbell squats. Many people don't think I workout, and it's all because I'm not one of those annoying d**chebags who just feel like they need to show you their muscle. Seriously no one cares.

I've also been running daily, most days i run two some parks and back which comes to be around 2 miles, but some days i run more.

If I have algebra II homework, I make sure to finish it right after lunch, because it's something that's due soon.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, I like to play zombsroyale.io with my friends. I play for around 2 hours and I see it more as a social interaction than playing the game. Video calling my friends and laughing with them when we die just reminds me about how valuable my friends are to me.

The other activity I do during the afternoon is French Horn. Right when the audition music came out, I practiced around an hour a day. I was a third chair, and I was aiming for a wind ensemble. I knew it was going to be tough, but as long as I stayed committed it would be possible. I also got a private teacher to help guide me through the audition, and at the end I practiced an average of one hour a day, and managed to make Wind Ensemble 2. My teacher told me I before the audition results were out that I was guaranteed to make Wind 2, and that I was very close to making Wind 1. Although, I didn't make Wind 1, I still reached my goal. Looking back on this grind, I'm realizing that working hard really works.

Yes, this is cheesy. I will stop now.

Ok anyway I practice around like 30 min average a day? Sometimes I don't practice at all.

NIGHT

After dinner, my main focus is Chinese. I've written so many chinese essays to prepare myself for AP Chinese, it's so tiring. I don't look forward to doing Chinese with my mom at all, but I know that after this test, I won't ever have to go to a Chinese class ever again, so I need to put my mind into this last stretch.

I've definitely adjusted to this online period, and everyday I go to bed feeling very content. I'm a person who doesn't like expressing how my day went to my family. I don't know why, it just feels weird. However, I feel fully comfortable telling my story on this blog.

I went from a lazy slob to someone who works fairly hard every day. If I keep this same mentality and mindset for the rest of my life, I can meet lots of my parents goals they set for me.

Now the only task that remains is to continue this habit and stay focused.
