  1. Shelter – Porter Robinson, Madeon
  2. Sad Machine – Porter Robinson
  3. Divinity – Porter Robinson, Amy Millan

Let's start out with Shelter

The song starts out strong with the melody and a wavy rippling effect in the background. A slight echo is produced if you listen close enough. The synth voice is very fitting for the setting that the beginning is painting for us. The ending synth voice in the loop is kind of grunted. Three notes are looped in a cycle before getting right back to the normal loop. They add in a bass and a snare. Two hollow hits on a drum gets a large beat in the song. The loop continues with a large beat. They change the synth voice a bit hollow before fading out into the voice.

The vocals are okay, but could be better. A quick big snare beat drives in and out within a couple of seconds and you know a beat drop is coming. You hear the silent synth played every other beat. The synth cymbal thingy comes in. All the beat drop is is a couple of beats and the the familiar melody kicks in.

I like the way Porter Robinson didn't put vocals between synth break gaps. Instead he put quick drum hits. I personally love that. The synth break ends by changing the synth voice more creepier. The lyrics change but the same tune.

The ending vocals are very fitting.

Sad Machine – Porter Robinson

Never listened to this. Let's start!

Okay, I hear the first words and I'm already creeped out. wth

They make the synth broken on purpose. They start out the song with a beat drop. Okay, I'm done

Divinity – Porter Robinson, Amy Millan

Love how Porter Robinson starts out with the awesome melody again. The synth is kinda a mix between a paper crisp synth and a synchro nyce. They turn the voice into a drum when going from loop to loop. I like it. Porter Robinson uses the same exact wavy synth in the background from shelter. They add in a separate, interesting loop. Not long before it dies. They add in a crashing drum wow. Very loud. Noticing how Porter Robinson likes to use synth voices for melody. In between big chunks of loops is an organ synth waving and rippling. The synth break fades out and all you hear now is  a quiet analog synth. Then you hear a synth pad that plays for a short amount of time.

What's next? They put pride in with a beautiful echoey dungeon is voice. The transition is a bit too long. Don't judge me, but the vocals sounds like she is singing in the shower. I mean, YOU CAN LITERALLY HEAR HER BREATHING. I can definitely tell that this is pride. Kinda like the pride that Laura Brehm sang in Mortals – Warriyo, Laura Brehm .  There's this one part where they connect the melody with the pride, just that they play the melody really slow.

All I can tell is that they played that voice for waayy too long. But..

the ending is great! Wow!

"you'll see right thro-ough me". Wow. They could've just ended it like taht, but they have to put in a brokn synth....whatever

Okay, since I was creeped out by Sad Machine, let's do an extra one.
Flicker – Porter Robinson

Is this like jazz or something? the beginning is weird. Sounds like a guitar. OKAY I HEAR THOSE WEIRD ANIME VOICES AND IM DONE. IM SORRY IM SKIPPING THESE ANIME VOICES.

Lionhearted – Porter Robinson, Urban Cone

hopefully this is better.

Hm. A hollow digital synth. interesting. That's all i hear. There's nothin in the background. hmmm. Okay, I hear vocals. I hear a bassline. Okay, I'm sorry this isn't even EDM. I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS.

hm.

A beat, playing for too long. WHEN WILL IT END. I JUST WANNA HEAR THE SONG. it's still playing....-_-. omg okay i hear somehting fading in. I hear a quiet analog synth. Sounds like a calming music. Hm.. interesting. They bring in a digital synth, just repeating two notes. They have another digital synth in the background. If you listen closely, you can hear a synth lead. Interesting way to interpret a beat drop. Making cutoffs. They put in a deep synth voice. More cutoffs, and now the lead is going in a loop. Beat drop time. Interesting digital synth melody with a strong beat in the background. They stumble the beat in between melodies, creative. Uhhhh they put in a vocalist? Why does this person sound like selena gomez xD. idk why, it just sounds like it. Hm. Why am I liking htis? is it because of that loop? They play that loopy loop for too long, and then comes in the weird cutoffs. You can definitely hear in a fading wind blowing beat drop thingy. Okay, nice melody! I'm done.
